The portal's dynamic interface did not permit reliable automated confirmation of its reset label or exact no-match message. Do not treat a failed attempt as proof that no registration exists. Check spelling, the registered surname, birth-date format, and county. Confidential by law. O.C.G.A. §21-2-225 withholds the month and day of birth, Social Security number, email, driver's-license number, application location, submitted bank statements, and the original application absent a court order. Birth year may appear in the voter file, while protected voter addresses are shielded.
Georgia law treats elector data as generally public, but public does not mean every detail from the application is released. The CSV excludes phone numbers as well as the protected fields listed above. A statewide order arrives as text for import into spreadsheet software. Smaller Coweta or Newnan products narrow the geographic scope without changing the statutory line between public and confidential data.

MVP is the sound choice for a voter checking a personal registration. The sold file is appropriate only when the requester needs a defined roll and will obey the restrictions that follow it. An open-records request may reach existing administrative material, but the Georgia public records process cannot force an office to disclose confidential voter fields or create a new compilation.
Newnan Voter Status Changes
Georgia maintains voter rolls through database and address comparisons, confirmation notices, and inactive status under O.C.G.A. §§21-2-231 through 21-2-236. Missing one election does not by itself cancel a Newnan registration. Federal National Voter Registration Act safeguards require confirmation and a process spanning two general elections before cancellation on that basis.

The department page was intermittent during research, so office hours should be confirmed by phone before an in-person trip.

The office also provides the local administrative channel, while the Secretary of State handles the defined voter-list sales described above. General requests under the Georgia Open Records Act remain subject to exemptions and cannot compel a confidential field or a custom voter report.
Historical Newnan Voter Records
Current MVP and sold voter files are not genealogy databases. Historical poll books or registration registers may survive through county custody or the Georgia Archives, but authoritative Coweta coverage years were not published in the sources reviewed. Ask the archives and Coweta Elections for the record series, date span, access conditions, and whether an index exists before planning a visit.
Newnan became Coweta's county seat in 1828, but that fact does not prove that a continuous voter series survives from the nineteenth century. Other local records have documented runs, including an 1832–1855 marriage volume and early twentieth-century directories. Those dates must not be borrowed to imply voter-roll coverage. For family research, use historical voter material only after the repository confirms the actual series.
